Open a saved version as a separate copy. The current estimate stays saved.
Choose the sections for this work and edit their headings. SOR descriptions, units and rates stay locked. Only sections with items appear in Excel/PDF.
Use dimensions consistent with the SOR unit: metres for Metre, square metres and cubic metres. No automatic unit conversion is applied.
Details stay saved with this estimate. Only the final quantity appears in the original Excel/PDF format. Editing quantity manually clears the saved measurements for that item.
SOR-only suggestions · fixed 30 m per segment · circuit drop limit 2% · sub-main drop limit 1%
Fixed one-way design distance: 30 metres for each circuit and for the sub-main. Calculations apply to this assumed route; actual longer routes need a separate check.
Add SOR items room by room. Items with the same circuit group in a room share a circuit. Use separate groups for dedicated equipment. Power factor is fixed at 0.9 for every item. Select SOR items and quantity. Wattage is filled from SOR, CPWD design allowances, or a clearly labelled planning assumption; actual input can be changed under Optional. AC cooling capacity and pump shaft output are not treated as electrical input.
This applies consolidated quantities of the listed room SOR items to the chosen section. Existing quantities of those items are replaced; unrelated SOR items stay unchanged. Wiring suggestions are added separately after review.
Automatic planning groups: lighting/fan circuits are split at 800 W or 20 points, whichever comes first (CPWD 2023 §3.10.1). Socket/power/AC/pump loads use individual outlets/units per circuit as a conservative starting schedule. Review the final circuit arrangement for the actual building. Fan/socket design allowances use CPWD 2023 §3.9; AC, BLDC, exhaust and pump defaults marked as estimates must be checked against nameplates.
Connected load = quantity × electrical input watts. Demand factor is 100%; no automatic diversity or spare margin. PF is fixed at 0.9 as a project assumption. Single-phase I = W / (V × PF); three-phase I = W / (√3 × 415 × PF). Main current uses the highest phase current with real/reactive load summed per phase. A three-phase row assumes a balanced load. Three-phase sub-main screening includes the calculated fundamental neutral current, using (highest phase current + neutral current) × length × (R+X) relative to phase voltage. Harmonic neutral current is not included.
Wire shortlist is a voltage-drop screen, not a current-capacity selection. Copper screening uses R = 0.0225 / area Ω/m, X = 0.00008 Ω/m and ΔV ≤ k × I × 30 × (R+X), k = 2 or √3. Separate screening budgets: sub-main 1%, circuit 2%. Combined path is shown. These are planning assumptions, not a declaration of code compliance. Earth and neutral arrangements, cable ampacity/derating, starting current, trip curve, fault level, disconnection and selectivity remain to be checked. A SOR rate covering an ampere range does not specify an exact purchased rating.
